E1M1 — the backside
Rip and refactor
This is the backside of OS V01D: the portals, the custom builds, the fediverse node, the coder, the arcade. Everything here runs on a machine in a room with the window open because the fans never stop.
osv01d.org is the front office. This is the workshop.

Why it looks like this
the pointIn 1993 a shareware episode arrived on a floppy and changed what a personal computer was for. It ran on hardware that by today's standards is a thermostat, and it was fast, because every byte was spent on purpose. That discipline is the whole aesthetic here.
So this site is a nod to that era: monospace type, hard edges, a HUD that tells you the truth, and not one kilobyte spent on a font you did not need. No framework, no tracker, no cookie wall. It loads in one request and it works with JavaScript switched off.
The tech is new. The manners are old. Ship it, then make it fast.
